Foundation's Mission

The mission of the Indianapolis Jazz Foundation is to assure the continued growth and development of jazz and jazz education in Indianapolis and its surrounding communities. As part of this mission, the Indianapolis Jazz Foundation initiates programs which nurture and promote the understanding and appreciation of jazz and its heritage, provides leadership for educational outreach programs, assist teachers and practitioners with information and resources, and takes an active part in organizing clinics and symposia at local and regional levels.
